Merles are marbled-looking pattern on their coat, and can come in "blue merle", "sable merle" and "chocolate/brown merle". These can also come in variations of phantom, parti, and tri-colored.
Merle also comes in abstract, solid, and parti.

The solids are the basic pattern doodles come in, including white, Red, Chocolate, and Black sometimes with minimal white.
We have produced: chocolate and black, and merle solids.

Parti-colored puppies are defined as a puppy with two colors, and 40% or more of their bodies are white.

Tri-colored puppies are a combination of parti and phantom, or can be defined as the traditional coloring for the bernedoodle.
